The annual graduation of elegant and dazzling models from the prestigious Gold Model Agency took place on Saturday, the 10th of October at the world trade center; this was the fifth batch of models to be produced by this power house in the modelling industry.
The event has had all the media houses talking throughout the week as the show was expected to be the platform to exhibit the most exotic and well trained models to the world and due to this reason, the house was filled to capacity within the shortest possible time and the ball was set rolling.
Black Boy of GhOne TV fame was the host of the night and he ushered the event with absolute brilliance and never made the night a bore, the relations officer Miss Oforiwaa Apprah, a former student of the very said model agency mounted stage to provide the guests with a brief insight on what to expect on the runway and also tell the story of the reputable school.
Twenty-one students graduated this year from Golden Model Agency and they all took to the platform immediately afterwards to show the crowd what they have learned over their stay with the agency in different costumes from different fashion designers such as KyeradeGh, Kophi Faakye, Jama Clothing, Twens Fashion House, Ange Suraji, Lissa Mykels, Numar Clothing, Emco Designs and many more as well as guest Top Designers: Wendy L‘artisane, and Afriken Novelty. They posed extravagantly, looked confident and walked majestically receiving applause from the crowd.
Gold Model Agency is one of the few modelling agencies that do not discriminate against people who have the passion to be models but lack the requisite specifications to be one; your height or weight is never a problem when it comes to them as the only criteria that discredit one from training with them is lack of passion and seriousness, earning them a lot of respect in the country. Herty Twens, a seasoned model and founder of Golden Model Agency said the reason for forming her agency was to level the grounds for people from all walks of life to earn the chance to follow their dreams and passion for modelling and believes in some years to come, Ghana will be the primary source of spectacular models. Entertainment was also provided to the crowd in the form of music and poetry with amazing performances from an upcoming Afro Pop Artiste called Daylix and other performers who caught the eye of all present with his tune and moves on stage and got them all nodding, singing and dancing to his tune.
The event was one of the best to be held in the nation this year as not only did it give birth to a new band of models but also offered new artistes and poets an opportunity to also perform and nurture their talent as well. Congrats to the new models and we wish them all the best in their next ventures.
